Amarillo Matters Director Appears in Cindi Bulla Ad

With the Texas House District 87 race continuing to heat up, candidates are spending big on TV ad buys. Notably, keen eyed viewers are likely to spot a face familiar to local politics in a new Cindi Bulla ad.

Amarillo Matters director Steve Pair only briefly appears in the ad (and on a mailer for the campaign) and doesn’t have any audible dialogue. Pair has taken to Facebook, however, to offer his endorsement of Bulla, writing, “please vote for Cindi for Texas!”

Though Pair has gotten involved in the race, Amarillo Matters PAC hasn’t. In fact, according to finance reports, it appears Amarillo Matters PAC isn’t getting directly involved in any primary election races. However, a recent mailer from Protect & Serve PAC did recently hit mailboxes. The mailer, which uses a similar design as previous mailers from Amarillo Matters PAC, expressed support for Bulla. As we have previously reported during the 2023 city council election, Protect & Serve PAC has several donors which overlap with Amarillo Matters PAC. The two also share Murphy Nasica as a consultant.

Early voting continues through March 1st. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, March 5th. Cindi Bulla is running against medical claims negotiator Caroline Fairly, Perryton ISD school board member Richard Beyea, and attorney Jesse Quackenbush.
