The Amarillo Pioneer has obtained a list of finalists put forward for the Charter Review Committee, who will be meeting over the summer to look over the Amarillo City Charter and recommend amendments to be placed on the November ballot.
According to a note included with the list, “each councilmember provided a list of two members and one alternate member to the City Secretary. Based on availability, the final committee may be a combination of 10 of any of these citizens.”
The final committee will also include councilmen Tom Scherlen and Les Simpson. The finalists as submitted by the council are:
