The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a robbery at the Dollar General at 403 S. Western Street.
According to APD, an employee told officers that a young Hispanic male had entered the store with a BB pistol and demanded money. The employee recognized that the gun was a BB pistol, and refused to give the suspect any money. The suspect then shot the employee three times in the chest with the BB pistol and ran out of the store, without any money.
The employee was uninjured.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, age 15-19, 5'9", weighing between 130 and 140 pounds.
