Amarilloans Meet Candidates for City Manager

Amarillo residents attended a special meet and greet event at the Amarillo Civic Center, last night, to meet candidates for Amarillo City Manager.

Attendees snacked on small foods and tea while discussing issues with the candidates vying to become city manager. Nearly one hundred people were packed into the Heritage Room of the Amarillo Civic Center, at the event's busiest point.

Attendees at the meet and greet included Potter County Commissioner Mercy Murguia, Mayor Paul Harpole, Council members Elisha Demerson, Lisa Blake, Randy Burkett, and Mark Nair, and several candidates for City Council, including Ginger Nelson, James Schenck and Howard Smith. Several others City department heads and employees were also in attendance.

City Manager candidates Bob Cowell, Mark L. McDaniel, Jared Miller, Ronald Olson, and James M. Twombly were all in attendance answering questions from interested citizens.
