Governor Abbott has not yet announced his intentions regarding the November 2018 election. However, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick recently announced his intention to seek re-election.
Over the most recent fundraising cycle, Patrick raised about $5 million, reporting about $13.6 million on hand. Attorney General Ken Paxton also filed a report, reporting $1.8 million raised, for a grand total of $4.6 million on hand.
