Governor Abbott, Other Officials File Finance Reports

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is reporting his largest fundraising cycle yet, according to the Texas Tribune.

Governor Greg Abbott is reporting about $34.4 million in the bank, after raising $9 million over the past six months. Abbott's fundraising haul is the biggest yet for the first term governor.

Governor Abbott has not yet announced his intentions regarding the November 2018 election. However, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick recently announced his intention to seek re-election.

Over the most recent fundraising cycle, Patrick raised about $5 million, reporting about $13.6 million on hand. Attorney General Ken Paxton also filed a report, reporting $1.8 million raised, for a grand total of $4.6 million on hand.
