APD Sees Uptick in Holiday Vandalism

"The Amarillo Police Department has seen a rise in vandalisms the past few weeks.

It appears that most of these vandalisms are being committed by someone shooting a BB or pellet at vehicles, residences and businesses in Amarillo. There have been over fifty reports filed totaling over ten thousand dollars worth of damage. A lot of these vandalisms are happening in the overnight hours.

Anyone with information on these cases is asked to call the Amarillo Police Department or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400. Tips can also be made online at www.amapolice.org. Tips submitted through the Crime Stoppers web site or to the Crime Stoppers tip line are anonymous, and callers can get a cash reward."
