Professional soccer scouts are in Amarillo this week.

Club de Fútbol Pachuca, a Mexican soccer team based out of Pachuca, Hidalgo, has sent scouts to Amarillo this week to look for the next stars of professional soccer. The club's scouts held a press conference this afternoon, detailing the festivities and the trip.

According to the club's officials, Pachuca plans to host an open event tonight at Coulter Road Baptist Church, featuring Ricardo Ochoa and Andres Chitiva. Ochoa is a long-time scout for Pachuca and Chitiva is a former player. Both scouts will tell the public tonight about soccer and about the experiences they have had in professional soccer.

On Saturday, both scouts plan to host a scouting event on Saturday, showcasing local soccer players from the area.
