Thornberry Offers Prayers Following Las Vegas Shooting

U.S. Congressman Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) put out a statement on Monday, offering his thoughts and prayers to those who were affected the shooting at a Las Vegas concert on Sunday night.

In the statement, Thornberry offered his "thoughts and prayers" to the victims and the families affected by the shooting. In the statement, Thornberry also said, "Our world is not getting any safer, and it is essential to support those, such as law enforcement and military, whose job it is to protect us."

The Sunday shooting at a Las Vegas, Nevada music festival has been described as the largest mass shooting in American history. At least 59 people were killed and over 500 people were injured.
