Xcel Energy has broken ground on a new location in Canyon.
According to Xcel Energy, the new location, located just off Interstate 27, will help serve the nearly 30,000 residents in the Canyon area who are customers of Xcel. The facility will be a 20,000 square-foot facility, capable of housing heavy equipment.
The facility will accommodate about 50 employees at its capacity.
Xcel's new $50 million facility will open in late 2018.
