According to 420Jim, the bus has visited 30 states across the country and has collected thousands of signatures supporting the federal legalization of marijuana. 420Jim is currently collecting signatures through a Change.org petition to present to President Trump and Congress.
"WE THE PEOPLE ask you CONGRESS [sic] Sign an order to make cannabis/Hemp/Marijuana legal in every state," 420Jim's petition reads. "Ask you Mr. Trump to ask CONGRESS To make Cannabis/Hemp/Marijuana legal in every state."
In supporting the legalization of cannabis and hemp, 420Jim stresses the medical benefits of cannabis and hemp.
"Marijuana never killed anybody," 420Jim said. "It's a healer."
The appearance of the Cannabus 2 in Amarillo comes as 420Jim is in the process of visiting the entire United States. The current incarnation of the Cannabus was launched on September 13th of this year, after the original Cannabus caught fire in Knoxville, Tennessee.
420Jim Stevens and his dog, Jack, will be in Amarillo throughout the week, visiting with residents and encouraging Amarilloans to sign the petition in support of the national legalization of marijuana.
