'Bomb City' Film to See Theatrical Release

"Bomb City" will be shown in theaters soon following a successful festival run.

The film, released to various film festivals this year, tells the true story of the murder of Amarillo teenager Brian Deneke. "Bomb City" has received critical acclaim, winning several awards for direction and acting. Dave Davis, best known for his roles in "True Detective" and "The Walking Dead," portrays Deneke in the film.

An official trailer for the film was released on Tuesday and an option for a digital preorder has also been offered through iTunes. On Wednesday, D Magazine reported that the film has been picked up by a distributor for a limited theatrical release. Showings of the films are planned at various Alamo Drafthouse locations around Texas and rumors have circulated that a release is being planned at a theater in Amarillo.

The film will be released on February 9, 2018.
