FBI Releases Statement on Amarillo Robbery Suspect

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released information regarding a robbery suspect sought in an Amarillo robbery.

According to the statement, the suspect, who has been named "the Barrel Chested Bandit" is a suspect in 8 robberies, through Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

The suspect is sought for an the October 18th and December 12th robberies of the First Bank Southwest at 2400 S. Georgia and Amarillo National Bank, at 2530 S. Georgia, respectively.

The suspect is described as being 5'6" to 5'10" in his mid to late 40's or early 50's. The suspect has a large build and has worn a baseball hat and sunglasses in six of eight robberies.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
