A resolution regarding a new PID will be on the City Council's agenda for Tuesday.
The resolution, if passed, would support proposed legislation to amend the Local Government Code to allow for the creation of a Tourism Public Improvement District in Amarillo. The resolution was requested by local hoteliers, according to a memo from the City. Local hoteliers voted 64-0 to pursue the PID's creation.
Also on the agenda will be the 2nd reading of several changes to the Amarillo Municipal Code and several rezoning ordinances. The Council will also conduct a public nuisance hearing.
The meeting will be held on, Tuesday, March 14th, at Amarillo City Hall (509 SE 7th Avenue).
The meeting will begin at 5pm.
