An elementary school in Amarillo's North Heights neighborhood will be the topic of discussion during tonight's AISD meeting.
According to the Amarillo Education Association, the agenda for the meeting includes "Discussion and possible action relating to the Office of Civil Rights Desegregation Plan for Carver Elementary Schools/North Heights Neighborhood, including the consideration of any or all of the following: engagement with the North Heights community regarding a neighborhood school concept, the possible creation of a board committee, and/or directing administration to conduct neighborhood meetings."
The board meeting will be held at the Amarillo ISD Education Support Center (7200 I-40 West) tonight.
The meeting will begin at 6pm.
