The City of Amarillo is seeking the public's help in finding a home for a "box of puppies."
The City said that when Animal Management and Welfare employees opened their doors today, they found this box of puppies. The City is seeking homes for the young animals to avoid shelter overcrowding.
This incident helps highlight the need for spaying and neutering, the City says.
"There are many benefits to having your pet spayed or neutered including the reduction of the stray animal rate, improvement of the overall health of your pet, and reduction of the animal’s urge to roam, be aggressive, and other dominance-related behaviors."
The City is seeking adopters to help place the pups into good homes. For more information, please visit Amarillo.gov.
