Members of the Texas House of Representatives took to the floor today to protest the Senate's consideration of their bills.
Representatives Harold Dutton and Lyle Larson both took to the floor to protest that their bills have not been considered by the Texas Senate. As deadlines approach for key bills, House members are demanding action on their bills that are still waiting for consideration by the Senate.
The Texas Tribune reports that Dutton said on the House floor today that 21 House members have had bills pass the House that have not be referred to a Senate committee. Dutton then asked for the House members to open the doors of the chamber for Senate members to hear their protests.
