The Amarillo Fire Department has announced several promotions and retirements.
According to the Amarillo Fire Department, Captain Bill Nolan has retired. Nolan served the Amarillo area for 28 years and was assigned to the Aircraft Rescue Firefighting program.
Lieutenant Lance Vinson has been promoted to the rank of Captain. Vinson was also assigned to the AFD Safety program. Vinson was previously assigned to the AFD Communications program.
Driver Manny Rosales has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Rosales has also been assigned to the AFD EMS program after previously serving with the AFD Communications program.
And firefighter David Michelotti has been promoted to the rank of Driver and has been assigned to the EMS program. Michelotti previously served in the AFD Hazmat program.
All retirements and promotions are effective June 2017.
