Lubbock Restaurants Make National News

A sign battle between two Lubbock restaurants is making national news.

Two restaurants in Lubbock, Wendy's and Pure Water Ice & Tea, have been exchanging words over signs in front of their establishments this year. The two restaurants sit nextdoor to each other on 82nd street in Lubbock.

The encounter began when Pure Water put up a sign that was similar to Wendy's. Wendy's then replied with a sign that said "Something else is familiar our fresh never frozen beef."

Pure Water then replied with a sign that said "You want a beef Wendys? You got it!"

Since then the two companies have begun exchanging jabs over the signs in front of their locations.

The sign war between the two establishments has gained the attention of Time Magazine, Fox News, and the New York Daily News.
