The Texas Rangers took a pounding last night as they fell short of defeating the Boston Red Sox, 4-11.
The Rangers scored their runs in the eighth and ninth innings, long after the Red Sox had established a commanding lead. Rangers starter Yu Darvish began the game for Texas and pitched for four innings, later being replaced by Nick Martinez and Tony Barnette.
Delino DeShields batted in a run for Texas while Mike Napoli claimed the other three runs. Darvish was credited with the loss for the game.
The Rangers will attempt to rebound against Boston tonight at home. That game begins at 7:05pm on FSSW.
