7th Avenue Closes for Streetscaping

"Beginning Monday, Aug. 21, the City of Amarillo will close 7th Avenue between Pierce and Buchanan streets for rehabilitation. The project is expected to last approximately five to six weeks for demolition and placement of historical pavers.

The closure and reconstruction are Phase IV of the downtown parking garage construction plan that includes this streetscaping project. The historical pavers salvaged from 6th and 7th avenues will be reconditioned and replaced.

The City and its contractor would like to thank residents and motorists in advance for their patience and understanding. For more information or questions concerning this project, please call the City of Amarillo’s Facilities department at (806) 378-9386."
