A peace rally is set to be held in a Lubbock park next month.
It was reported by EverythingLubbock that Lubbock resident Stephen Sanders has reached an agreement with the City of Lubbock to host a peace rally in Lubbock's Maxey Park. Sanders said that he decided to host the rally following the violence in Charlottesville, North Carolina.
Sanders is promoting the rally on Facebook, writing, "Lubbock let's be the example city for the nation!"
The event is billed as the "first annual" peace rally in Lubbock and will include a concert and food trucks.
The rally will be held on September 30th at noon.
