First Monday Task Force to Hold 9/11 Event

The First Monday Engagement Task Force is planning to host a remembrance event on September 11th. 

At the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1475 (1408 W. 8th), members of the community will gather for the event to remember those lost on 9/11. Colonel Clayton Hoffman (Ret.) will give a presentation titled "Do You Remember?" U.S. Naval commander Jim Lowder (Ret.) will also give a presentation titled "Liberty and Security, Then and Now."

A color guard ceremony by Volleys for Veterans is also planned.

The event will include a barbeque dinner for $7. Veterans eat for free.
