"Beginning Monday, Aug. 7, drivers may experience delays at Georgia Street and Plains Boulevard as the crosswalk undergoes reconstruction. Motorists may experience these delays as a City of Amarillo contractor makes improvements to the concrete at the intersection – requiring minimal lane closures – ensuring proper ADA compliance while increasing accessibility and safety of the crosswalk.
Various lanes will close to traffic as the project progresses. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of the reconstruction.
