Lady Buffs Dominate at Texas Tech Cross Country Event

The West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs won first place at a recent cross country event at Texas Tech University.

Lady Buffs cross country athletes claimed the non-division first at the event. The men's WTAMU cross country team claimed fifth at the Texas Tech Open. Lady Buffs athletes claimed first with 59 points, followed by Wayland Baptist (66 points), Midwestern State (68 points), New Mexico Junior College (105 points), South Plains (116 points), Eastern New Mexico (157 points), Lubbock Christian (160 points), UT Permian Basin (207 points), Odessa College (245 points) and University of the Southwest (279 points).

The Buffs trailed four teams at the tournament including South Plains (52 points), Lubbock Christian (55 points), Wayland Baptist (71 points), UT Permian Basin (110 points),

Lubbock's Chaparral Ridge Course played host to the event on Saturday.
