NAACP Hosting Languages of Amarillo Forum

The Amarillo chapter of the NAACP is set to host a community forum on Saturday over the languages of Amarillo.

According to information from the local chapter, the NAACP will be presenting a forum on Saturday that will feature experts from the area discussing languages in Amarillo. Experts from Amarillo ISD, Amarillo Police Department, Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle, Northwest Texas Hospital, and the Amarillo Public Library ESL Program have been invited to participate in the panel discussion.

The NAACP is hosting the event in conjunction with Panhandle PBS and the Amarillo Public Library. Karen Welch, of Panhandle PBS, is moderating.

Saturday, September 23rd's forum will begin at 10am at the Downtown Public Library (413 Southeast 4th Avenue).
