On January 20th, Amarillo residents will have their first opportunity to see inside the Charles E. Warford Activity Center during its grand opening.
According to the City of Amarillo, the Charles E. Warford Activity Center will host its grand opening on January 20th at 3pm. The Center, located at 1330 NW 18th Avenue, will be opened in a special ceremony that will include refreshments, organized activities, open-use of the updated gym and pool, and facility tours.
Those recognized during the opening will include the project partners and the Warford family. City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation staff will also be on hand to answer any questions.
The Activity Center is named for Amarillo community leader Charles E. Warford. Warford was an Amarillo community leader who helped organize the Amarillo United Citizens Forum. Warford was also owner of Warford-Walker Mortuary.
