Amarillo College president Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart will testify before the United States Senate on Thursday.
In an announcement on Wednesday, Amarillo College announced that Lowery-Hart has been invited to testify before the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. Lowery-Hart will be testifying on the issues of federal financial aid and student access.
Joining Lowery-Hart in the panel will be: Dr. Matthew Chingos, Director Educaiton Policy Program; Ms. Joanna Darcus, Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation Racial Justice Fellow, National Consumer Law Center; Dr. Susan Dynarski, Professor of Public Policy, Education and Economics, University of Michigan; and Dr. Laura Keane, Chief Policy Officer, UAspire.
The meeting will begin at 9am on Wednesday. The panel can be streamed at www.senate.gov.
