"The community is invited to attend an informational meeting Thursday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. to learn more about the upcoming City of Amarillo Hastings-Broadway Sewer Extension and Rehabilitation project. The meeting will take place at the Downtown Amarillo Public Library, 413 E. 4th Ave.
Amarillo City Council awarded the $541,111 contract to Horseshoe Construction for the replacement of approximately 5,000 feet of existing sewer pipe and the construction of 1,300 feet of new sewer pipe. The project is expected to begin in February 2018. The contract with Horseshoe Construction includes provisions to minimize the impact to neighborhood traffic, however, residents in this area may want to find alternate routes at various times throughout the project.
