Senator Ted Cruz’s campaign office was evacuated on Tuesday after receiving a suspicious package in the mail.
According to the Texas Tribune, the office building that houses Cruz’s campaign office in Houston was evacuated after a “white powdery substance” was found mailed in a package. FBI officials in Houston announced the evacuations, saying two people were sent to a local hospital.
Later on Tuesday afternoon, the Houston Fire Department said tests for a hazardous substance came back negative.
