Fewer voters turned out to cast ballots on the third day of early voting in Potter and Randall Counties.
According to information released by Potter County, 1,127 voters cast ballots on Wednesday. This is the lowest number so far during the early voting period in Potter, with about a drop of a little less than 500 voters from the previous day. So far, 6,154 votes have been cast in Potter County.
Meanwhile, in Randall County, Wednesday also counted for the lowest turnout so far, at 2,930 voters casting ballots. This marks a drop of a little less than 1,000 votes in Randall from the previous day. 13,247 voters have cast ballots in Randall County, so far.
While the voter turnout has been down over the past two days in Potter County, records have still been broken for local turnout. This is in line with turnout in the entire state, as the Texas Tribune reports 1.59 million voters have already cast ballots across the state.
Early voting will run through November 2nd. Election Day is November 6th.
