Amarillo Economic Development Corporation board members will meet next week to discuss leadership roles following the departure of president and CEO Barry Albrecht.
On Monday, November 19th, the Amarillo EDC Board of Directors will take action on a severance package and release agreement with the company’s president and CEO. Following this discussion, the compensation and appointment of an interim CEO will be the top priority on the board’s agenda.
This discussion has been slated following a recent announcement of corporation president and CEO Barry Albrecht’s resignation. AEDC directors recently accepted Albrecht’s resignation, as reports indicated he was leaving the AEDC to spend time with his family. Albrecht joined the AEDC in early 2017.
In addition to the discussion over the corporation’s CEO, board members will consider offering financial incentives to two business prospects, one in the information technology industry and another in the transportation industry.
This meeting will begin at 11AM in the AEDC offices in downtown Amarillo (801 South Fillmore - Suite 205).
