President George Bush was laid to rest this week in College Station, following a final service in the 41st president’s adopted hometown of Houston.
On Thursday, mourners from across Texas gathered as Bush’s casket was carried by train for the final time. A service was held at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston where 12,000 people paid respects to the former president and father of the 43rd president.
Bush will be buried at his family plot at his presidential library after being taken by train. A 21-gun salute will also be held to honor the president.
