Amarillo Toddler in Hospital After Being Shot in Head

An Amarillo toddler is in the hospital after being shot in the head, officials from the Amarillo Police Department said.

According to information released by the Amarillo Police Department, a 3-year-old was taken to the hospital on Saturday after being shot in the head. Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Wichita Avenue on Saturday night on the report of a child being shot. The child was located in a residence suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.

The child was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition. No arrests have been made.
