Last Pitch: Robert Taylor, Republican for Justice of the Peace

We invited every local judicial candidate to give us their last pitch for voters on why they should be chosen in the March 6th Republican primary. We will be running responses on Friday and Monday.

Robert Taylor, Republican for Potter County Justice of the Peace, Pct.2

Why should voters choose you on March 6th?

What is a quality candidate? I believe my 34+ years as a Local Law Enforcement is an asset. A degree in Criminal Justice and over 4500 hours of continuing education in the criminal justice system should also be considered as a quality. Participating in local events over the last 2 decades should also show ones dedication to the community. I am also a veteran of the U.S. Army (1973-1977).

I grew up in Amarillo and have lived in the same precinct for the past 52 years, 38 years at my current residence and raised 4, now adult children who are valuable members of their community as well. One works at Owens Corning, One at Amarillo Pathology Group, another a Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Medford and my youngest, an Attorney and Certified Financial Planner. My wife and I have raised some fantastic children who have given us 5 beautiful grandchildren.

I have said from the get go I wanted to bring a full time Justice of the Peace back to the court and instill an ethical operation for the citizens of Potter County and especially Precinct 2. A court that is dedicated to the citizens brining dignity, fair and impartial rulings no matter political affiliation, religious beliefs or ethnicity. My experience and training background as a police officer has been a training ground for the Justice of the Peace position that is unmatched by other current candidates. My position has not changed. I ask for your support and your vote come March 6th. Together we can make Precinct 2 and Potter County a better place for all to live, educate and raise our families. VOTE TAYLOR FOR JP#2 MARCH 6TH.
