Wade Overstreet has won the endorsement of the Amarillo Taxpayers PAC.
The group announced last night on social media a "late endorsement" of Potter County prosecutor Wade Overstreet in the Republican runoff for Potter County Court at Law #2. A post signed by the political action committee's executive committee said the group chose to back Overstreet, as he is the most qualified candidate running. Also mentioned were Overstreet's service in the United States military and his passion for Potter County.
In addition, the group is continuing to support attorney Len Walker for Potter County Court at Law #1, over Walt Weaver, and Steven Michael Denny for the 320th District Judge spot, over Pamela Cook Sirmon.
Overstreet is facing Republican Matt Hand in a May 22nd runoff. Hand, a political newcomer, is an attorney at the Brown and Fortunato law firm.
