Suspect Sought in Papa John's Robbery

The Amarillo Police Department needs your help capturing a suspect involved in a robbery at a Papa John's pizza location in Amarillo.

According to APD, officers were dispatched to the Papa John's at 1005 South Georgia on the report of a robbery Saturday night. A white male, described as being 5'6" with a thin build, a black baseball cap and dark colored jacket, entered the store and did not order. The suspect went around the counter and attempted to open the register. An employee who was in the back of the store came back and found the man at the counter. The suspect asked the employee for a piece of paper and when she turned around, he stuck what was believed to be a knife to the employee's back. The suspect then demanded that the employee open the register.

The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Nobody was injured in the incident. No suspect vehicle has been identified and it is unknown whether the suspect left the scene on foot.

No arrests have been made.
