City officials will be hosting a mobile immunization clinic this Friday.
According to information released by the City of Amarillo, officials will be hosting a mobile immunization and HIV test clinic on Friday, April 27th at 7421 West 34th Avenue, the site of a former carwash. According to the City of Amarillo, vaccines available will include: Zoster (shingles), Pneumococcal (pneumonia), MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough), Varicella (chickenpox), Flu, Td (tetanus and diphtheria), HPV (human papillomavirus), Meningitis, Hepatitis A and B, and Twinrix (Hep A/B combo). The vaccines will be available while supplies last.
Testing will also be offered for HIV and syphilis, with results available on the same day.
No appointment is necessary and walk-in's are welcome. Adults with medicaid, no insurance or who are underinsured are eligible to participate. Immunizations are $10 each, but no eligible client will be turned away for inability to pay.
