City of Amarillo to Host Pool Technician Class

A course for pool technicians will be hosted later this month.

On April 16th and April 17th, from 9am through 3pm, the City of Amarillo's Environmental Health department is hosting a two-day pool technician training class. The class will be held at the Simms Municipal Building in downtown Amarillo and will cover pool facilities, equipment, signage, safety requirements, water sanitation, balance, corrective actions, and the responsibilities of the Certified Pool Technician, according to the City of Amarillo.

The training is beneficial for those operating pools in Amarillo, as municipal ordinance requires all permitted pools in the city to have a Certified Pool Technician who is responsible for its operations and maintenance.

Admission to the class is $129 per person and must be paid before the first day of class. Checks are payable to the City of Amarillo.

For more information, or to register, please call the City of Amarillo Environmental Health department at (806) 378-9472.
