Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) will participate in a charity basketball game this weekend with late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
Recently, it was announced that Cruz, a Houston attorney and incumbent U.S. Senator for Texas, would participate in a charity basketball game in Houston against Kimmel. Kimmel, of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" had been trading barbs with the Texas senator over Twitter, prior to the announcement. The game between the two non-professional athletes is being billed as the "Blob Fish Classic."
According to the website for the game, tickets are free, but must be requested. Attendees are asked to donate and donations will be distributed between two Houston-area charities.
