Amarillo are students are being invited to participate in the City of Amarillo's Every Drop Counts poster contest this year.
According to the City of Amarillo, students are invited to submit posters to the Every Drop Counts Water Conservation Team to be considered in the contest. Contests are open for students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, an posters must be original pieces showcasing water conservation.
The overall best poster maker, as selected by City officials, will receive a grand prize. This year's grand prize is a Kindle Fire, donated by Best Buy. Other top prizes include a party at AirU for ten guests, a pool party at the Warford Activity Center and passes to Wonderland Park.
Applications are asked to submit their entries by noon on August 1st. All twelve winners will be recognized by the Amarillo City Council during an August 14th meeting and the winners' artwork will be reproduced in a 2019 calendar.
