Amarillo Police are investigating a homicide that took place on Sunday morning.
According to APD, officers were dispatched early Sunday morning to a reported shooting in the 700 block of North Van Buren. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the upper body. The man was declared dead at the scene. Authorities have identified the suspect at Juan Garcia, Jr., 59.
Justice of the Peace Thomas Jones has order an autopsy. No arrests have been made.
