Parks and Rec Board to Talk Meeting Times, Landscaping

The Amarillo Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will discuss its meeting times and more this week.

On Tuesday, September 11th, the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Board will take action on meeting times for its future gatherings. As of right now, the scheduling for the meetings may conflict with the Amarillo City Council's meetings, and as the Parks and Recreation Board sometimes uses the Council Chambers for meetings, a time change is needed. The issue arose following the City Council's decision to move its meeting time to 1pm earlier this month.

Also, during the meeting, the Parks and Recreation Board will discuss the Tree City USA Program and landscaping around the Interstate 40/Interstate 27 interchange.

The Parks and Recreation Board will meet on Tuesday, September 11th at 1:30pm in Room 306 of Amarillo City Hall (509 Southeast 7th Avenue).
