The superintendent for the Canyon Independent School District will tell Canyon City Commissioners about an upcoming bond election next week.
On Monday, superintendent Darryl Flusche will address the City Commission about the upcoming bond election. The $200 million bond issue is up for voters to decide in November, and, if approved, will be a record bond for the district. If the vote is in favor of the bond, local taxpayers will pay a higher tax rate to fund campus improvements and more across the Canyon Independent School District.
Also, during the meeting, Commissioners will consider adopting the 2018 Comprehensive Plan and will meet in executive session.
Commissioners will meet on Monday, October 1st in the Commission Chambers of Canyon City Hall (301 16th Street, Canyon). The meeting will begin at 5:30PM.
