Mayor Ginger Nelson is slated to speak at a Republican club tomorrow.
On Tuesday, February 5th, the High Plains Republican Women will host Nelson as their monthly speaker. Nelson, an Amarillo attorney who has served as mayor since 2017, is making the stop, as she continues to speak to clubs in Amarillo in anticipation of her re-election fight in May. Nelson is already facing two announced challengers - Claudette Smith and Richard Herman - with others rumored to be considering making the leap to candidacy.
The event will begin at 6:30PM at Dyer’s BBQ in Amarillo.
