A planned Wednesday night chuck wagon dinner at the Doves Rest Resort near Palo Duro Canyon has been cancelled.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Cowgirls and Cowboys in the West had decided to cancel the Wednesday dinner due to safety concerns. Heavy winds in the area were the culprit of the cancellation, with experts estimating wind gusts as high as 80 miles per hour.
The first chuck wagon dinner will now be held on Saturday, March 16th at 8:30AM.
