Amarillo Police are reporting a missing child has been found safely.
According to APD, authorities began searching for Aliyha Thompson, 12, on Tuesday night. Thompson was reported last seen between Northeast 18th Avenue and Fannin on Tuesday. Officers say they began looking for the child after being unable to locate her, and chose to ask for the public’s help.
Less than three hours later, APD reported the child had been found safe and returned home.
