Texas is a good place to be a police officer, according to a new survey from Wallet Hub.
According to the 2019 “Best and Worst States to Be a Police Officer” survey from the organization, Texas is the twenty-first best state to be a police officer. The results were reported following findings from three categories: “Opportunity and Competition,” “Job Hazards and Protections,” and “Quality of Life.” Texas placed in the top twenty-five for the first and last category, but a low ranking for “Job Hazards and Protections” landed the state at twenty-five.
Leading the survey was New York, which placed first, followed by Maryland and California in the top three. Louisiana placed last in the survey.
