It’s official - all West Texas A&M University games played at Buffalo Stadium over the next ten years will be played on J Ferg Field.
On Tuesday, WTAMU and J Ferg Pros announced the ten year naming rights deal, with the university’s board of regents also approving the deal. As part of the deal, WTAMU says J Ferg Pros will receive “significant brand exposure with signage and logo placement throughout Buffalo Stadium, as well as broadcast, video and other marketing and advertising opportunities.”
"We are extremely honored to have a partner like J.R. Ferguson, his company and his people," WTAMU athletics director Michael McBroom said in a statement. "Five minutes into meeting him, I knew he was the right person and they were the right company to partner with on a deal of this magnitude. J.R.'s story and the success of his company and passion for his people are very similar to the people and championship culture we have here at WT. It will be an honor to watch our football team compete for and win championships on J Ferg Field."
The first game at J Ferg Field will be played on September 7th.
