Several of the candidates running for president in 2020 will be in Austin later this year for the Texas Tribune’s annual festival.
According to information released this week, former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld, a Republican, will speak at a podcast recording in Austin on Thursday, September 26th, as part of the unofficial kickoff of the 2019 Texas Tribune Festival. Then, across Friday and Saturday, Democratic presidential hopefuls Pete Buttigieg, Beto O’Rourke, Michael Bennet, Amy Klobuchar, and Julian Castro will speak. 2016’s Republican primary runner-up, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, will also speak on Saturday.
