Authorities are currently investigating a shooting at a local apartment complex.
According to APD, officers were dispatched at 9:39PM on Thursday night to an apartment complex in the 4100 block of SW 45th on a shooting. Officers arrived to find that Kendrick Freeman, 23, has been shot. AMS was called to the scene, although Freeman did not survive his injuries.
APD’s Homicide Unit was called to the investigate. Justice of the Peace Houdashell has ordered an autopsy of Freeman and the next of kin has been notified. This investigation remains ongoing at the time of the news release.
